Junior Club Championships Success

What a fantastic day of tennis at the Dundalk Tennis Club’s Junior Club Championship sponsored by Gael Form. Congratulations to all the juniors who competed – outstanding sportsmanship and talent shown by all.

Tennis & Coffee Morning

A reminder that a Tennis & Coffee Morning takes place tomorrow, Friday from 10am. Always a fun event – and the reward is the tasty treats upstairs in the bar area afterwards!

Policy re Court Booking ‘No Shows’

Our online court booking system is a valuable tool in planning tennis, badminton & squash match scheduling.

This is particularly the case with tennis as there are times during the week when all courts are fully booked. It’s fantastic after all the major upgrades to see the courts in such high demand – long may it continue!

However, it has been highlighted that a number of booked courts are not being played on. This is unfair to other members who may have wished to play but were unable to secure a court.

To help resolve this issue, please note the following:

1. All court bookings must be cancelled in advance. In the case of a league fixture, please notify the league organiser or the office to free up the relevant court.
2. If a member fails to cancel and does not play, please notify the office. The member who made the booking will be contacted for an explanation.
3. Repeat offenders may be referred to the management committee, and appropriate sanctions (up to suspension of membership) may be considered.

Hopefully, with a little effort from everyone, this will become a minimal – and hopefully non-existent – issue.

Table Quiz Night

This year’s Club Table Quiz will take place on Friday, November 7th at 8pm.

Always a popular event and quick to sell out – there are only a few tables left! Bookings can be made via Sile Holland.

€50 per table of four (including finger food). Prizes for the top 3 tables and spot prizes up for grabs.

Louth Badminton Open

The 2025 Louth Badminton Open takes place on the Dundalk badminton courts from Monday, November 3rd – Sunday, November 9th.

Badminton Ireland Affiliations

The 2025 Badminton Ireland membership season is now open for both registration and renewal.

Any member who registers or renews from today will have their membership valid until 30th November 2026.

Badminton members should pay their affiliations to Badminton Ireland directly. If there are any issues, please contact the office and we’ll do all we can to help.
