Badminton is one of the most accessible and enjoyable sports around, and at Dundalk Lawn Tennis Club, we’re proud to offer two indoor badminton courts for year-round play.

The Home of Louth Badminton
Our courts are the proud base of Louth Badminton, the umbrella group supporting clubs across the county. Throughout the season, we host county training, grading, and competitions. Most notably, Dundalk is the venue for the prestigious Louth Open, which has welcomed top players from across Ireland.

Senior Players
Represent Dundalk in regional and national leagues across Louth, Meath, and Dublin, through clubs such as Dundalk and New Dawn Dundalk. Many also compete as part of a strong Louth contingent at higher levels.
Junior Players
Our juniors are the future of Louth badminton, taking part in:
- Annual club exchanges with ABC Dublin
- National competitions in Dublin, where they’ve achieved outstanding success

Dundalk’s Badminton Courts boast to having the only Olympic standard matted courts between Dublin and Northern Ireland, with the installation of new mats and led lighting taking place recently.
Our venue is home to Louth Badminton – the umbrella group for the numerous badminton clubs within the county and plays host to county training, grading and competition throughout the season.Most notably it is the location for the Louth Open which over the years has attracted top competition from around the country.
Many of our senior badminton players compete on a regional and national level via leagues be it independently or via clubs based in Dundalk. These leagues include Louth, Meath and Dublin via Dundalk and New Dawn Dundalk teams. They also compete as part of a strong Louth contingent.
Our Junior players also represent the Club proudly. Friday and Saturday Junior Club members have a club twinning with ABC Dublin with an annual friendly competition held in the two clubs on alternate years.
These juniors also take part in the national competitions held in Dublin as part of strong Louth teams and have had great success over the years.
Dundalk has always held a strong and positive relationship with Badminton Ireland and all members interested in competing must affiliate with this national association. The Club itself is a member of the Badminton Ireland network of clubs and adheres to all relevant guidelines for senior and junior badminton players.
