Dundalk Junior Club Championship

The Dundalk Junior Club Championship is back!

Sponsored by Gael Form, this junior club members only event takes place on Saturday 30th August from 9am-1.30pm

Suitable for orange, green and yellow ball singles players, entry is €5 per person.

Orange Ball: 9-10.30am

Green Ball: 10.30-12noon

Yellow Ball: 12-1.30pm

Jill & Sinead’s Stackallen success

Congratulations to Jill Steeples and Sinead Mulligan on their success in the Stackallen Open last week. Well done ladies!

Heather & Rachael’s Leinster kickstart success

Competition is also starting to heat up on the badminton courts. Congratulations to Heather Tumilty and Rachael Mullen on their success in the Leinster Badminton Kickstart Graded tournament held in Terenure at the weekend

Sunny Tennis & Coffee morning

The sun shone, the tennis was fun and the treats afterwards were tasty at the Dundalk Tennis Club Tennis & Coffee Morning. Thanks to all who came along and enjoyed a great morning!

Soulful Seascapes painting workshop at Dundalk Tennis Club

Claire Reilly of Claire Reilly Fine Art & Design will hold another ‘Soulful Seascapes’ painting workshops for Adults this Saturday 23rd August from 2-4.30pm, again upstairs in the Tennis Club.

Cost per person is €65 which includes all materials supplied as well as Prosecco and nibbles

Badminton Coaching

Yong Hu – a long time member of Dundalk Badminton and a BWF Level 1 Certified Badminton Coach is now taking bookings for one to one coaching and small group coaching sessions.

Yong is looking forward to working on personalised training plans for all levels

Each session will see Yong work on swing power generation & court footwork; singles and doubles tactics and will also utilise machine aided rally patterns training.

One to one coaching sessions are priced at €30 per session.

Monday Night is Social Tennis Night

Social Tennis Night returns this Monday (weather permitting) Everyone is welcome to attend this free night. Non members are also welcome to come along and try out the club’s facilities, meet up with club members etc

Badminton Club Nights

Badminton Club Nights take place on Monday & Wednesday nights from 6.15pm. Again non members are welcome to come along and try out badminton.

Badminton Ireland Affiliations

A reminder that from this season badminton members should pay their affiliations to Badminton Ireland directly. If there are any issues please contact the office and we will do all we can to help. Remember if you want to take part in Badminton Ireland competitions - you must be affiliated with Badminton Ireland

Orange Return Bins

Just a reminder, we now have designated orange bins for the Return scheme

By donating empty Return bottles and cans via the orange bins, the Club will be able to raise funds via the deposit refund scheme.

Kitchen Etiquette

We love to see club members making full use of the facilities including the kitchen but would appreciate if after using plates, cups, cutlery etc that they are washed and dried and put back ready for more members to use. If anyone notices we are running low on washing up liquid etc just let the office know and we will replace it.
