Founded in 1913 as Dundalk Lawn Tennis Club, the club has over a century of history on its current site along Rampart Lane, behind St. Joseph's Monastery. The courts were officially opened on 13 June 1914. Originally a grass-court tennis club, it expanded in the mid-1960s with the construction of a badminton hall and was renamed Dundalk Tennis and Badminton Club. Squash courts and later padel courts were added over the decades. Today the club features state-of-the-art artificial clay and grass courts and runs a successful Tennis Academy.
